Riteish and Genelia's Wedding - A Fashion Spin on the Happy Nuptials

Sure Riteish and Genelia got married but we aren't done with them yet... Here we shall do a bit of fashion policing and tell you what looks worked and what did not, as well as what to avoid like the plague and what to embrace like the Holy Grail for your own wedding. Here we go...

The Groom

Let's start with the groom. Anybody can say that Riteish likes to stick to the tried and tested! Sure he looks all happy and dapper on his special day but the oomph is missing. We think Riteish could have experimented a bit more in terms of colors. Deep burgundy, light blue, beige, so many options and Riteish disappoints with a plain old white sherwani with golden embelliishments!

Pretty in Pink

Amrita Rao might have taken some what of a sabbatical from movies but she still knows how to hot up the fashion scene. A pink net saree with golden adornments and embroidery, as well as a golden blouse, now that is what we are talking about!

All Over The Place

We don't know what Ashish Chowdhry and Samita Bangrari were thinking when they wore the outfits they did. Agreed that sunny yellow is in-vogue this fashion season but the pink sequin border on the saree and neon green blouse with bead trimmings does not help her in any way. And Ashish, a bit more daring is what will go a long way for you!

Vision in White

White and silver, a classic combination with a modern twist - that is what best defines Sophie Choudry's salwar suit. The charming jewellery and the gorgeous clutch get our stamp of approval too. Way to go, Sophie!

Don't Try This At Home

Nothing about Jackie Shroff's look is worthy of mention. From the unflattering cut to the wayward yellow chunri, everything about his attire is out of place.

White Serenity

Rhea Pillai all decked up in a sparkling white saree, now that is a treat to the eyes. The open hair and minimalist jewellery work wonders too. Kudos to her for trying and yet not trying... :)

Traditional Doesn't Always Work

Asin decided to go back to her Kerala roots and go with a white silk saree and the works. The saree is pretty in itself but the gold jewellery is a little over the top. The hair tied in a bun doesn't help matters either...

Family Tree

Jaya Bachchan looks resplendant in her silk Kanchivaram saree and Ajay Devgn looks every bit the dashing hero he was in 'Singham'. Kajol on the other hand could do with a few more zesty colors and a broader smile on her face...

Here Comes The Bride

Genelia glows in this saree by Neeta and Nishka Lulla, with beads and sequins, as well as a gold kundan border blouse. A typical Marathi bride indeed, we say that Riteish is lucky to have her...!
